APTA-Mississippi Board Member Jeremy Foster Receives Prestigious National Service Award

The American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) has announced its 2026 Honors and Awards recipients, and APTA-Mississippi is proud to celebrate one of its own. Jeremy Foster, PT, DPT, has been selected as the recipient of the Lucy Blair Service Award, one of the Association’s most respected honors recognizing exceptional and sustained service to the physical therapy profession.

The Lucy Blair Service Award is presented to physical therapists whose dedicated volunteer leadership and contributions have significantly advanced the mission of APTA and the profession of physical therapy. Recipients are recognized for their commitment to professional advocacy, organizational leadership, and service that positively impacts both clinicians and the patients they serve.

As a member of the APTA-Mississippi Board of Directors, Jeremy Foster has consistently demonstrated a passion for advancing the profession through leadership, mentorship, and service. His commitment to supporting physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and students throughout Mississippi has helped strengthen the association and promote excellence in patient care across the state.

“Jeremy’s dedication to the profession and his willingness to serve others exemplify the highest ideals of physical therapy leadership,” said APTA-Mississippi executive director Ryan Kelly. “This national recognition reflects the tremendous impact he has made within our state chapter and throughout the broader physical therapy community.”

APTA-Mississippi extends its heartfelt congratulations to Jeremy on this well-deserved honor and thanks him for his continued service to the profession, the association, and the patients whose lives are improved through physical therapy every day.

The association also congratulates the other ACEWM members recognized by APTA in 2026, including Rachel Burba, recipient of the Mary McMillan Scholarship; Kaegan Robertson, recipient of the Outstanding Student Scholarship PTA Award; and Yousef S. Tamimi and Emiliano Chirigliano, recipients of the Access & Opportunity Scholarship awards.

Congratulations to all of this year’s award recipients for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the future of physical therapy.
